A lovely visit. It is worth visiting. Keep in mind that there are three queues: one for people without a ticket, another for people with a ticket without a set time, and a person with a ticket at a specific time.

Sainte-Chapelle Skip-the-Line Ticket

When you walk through the doors of this temple, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time to the 13th century. Considered as one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the world, this building will enable you to relive the days of Louis VI of France. Did you know that he ordered this incredible church to be built to house his Passion of Relics? It even housed Christ's Crown of Thorns – one of the most important relics in medieval Christendom- which was then moved to the nearby Notre-Dame Cathedral.

You'll walk through the chapel and admire the combination of red and blue columns, and don't forget to look up to appreciate the beautiful ceiling that stands 20 metres overhead. Of course, the stained glass windows are one of the most famous features;  fifteen huge mid-13th-century windows fill the nave and apse, and a large rose window sits proudly in the western wall. This is a must-see in Paris, and you'll always spot something new every time you visit.

Opening times

The monument is open continuously from 9 am to 7 pm, although it closes at 5 pm from October to March. When you make your reservation, please indicate which of the following time slots you wish to visit the Sainte-Chapelle:

  • 9 am to 1 pm

After making your reservation, we'll contact you within a maximum of 72 hours to let you know the specific time you have been allocated for your visit. This specific time will always be within the time slot of your choice.

Access to the monument is organised in 30-minute slots. For example, if your time is 10 am, you can enter at that time, or at 10:30 at the latest.
