Discover the less touristy parts of Paris on a 2.5-hour bike tour accompanied by a guide. It’s the best way of combining tourism and exercise!
After meeting at the arranged time, greet your specialized English-speaking guide who will accompany you throughout the tour. Once the group is all together, you’ll receive a brief talk about the safety regulations, so we can all complete the tour without running into any problems. Afterwards, put on your helmet and pedal away!
Head to the Jardin de Villemin on this off the beaten path bike tour. Situated on the banks of the Canal Saint Martin, one of the most popular areas of the City of Lights, this urban green-space has four different entrances. Forget about the hustle and bustle of Paris as you cross the park and breath in the fresh air. Feel your legs working as you listen to your guide’s explanations on the sights you pedal past.
Continue your tour by visiting two other parks: Belleville and Buttes Chaumont. These tranquil greeneries are very flat, perfect to explore on two wheels.
Next, ride to the Place de la République, decorated by a large monument dating back to 1884. The landmark is topped by a statue and represents the sacred values of the French Revolution: Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. Your guide will reveal that this is where the left-wing parties and the trade unions come together to protest.
Finally, make your way to the Petite Ceinture, a former railway line which ringed Paris. You’ll discover that this service was used until 1934 and has now been transformed into a green-space. Admire the countless flora on either side of the tracks and if you’re lucky you’ll see one of the seventy animals to have chosen this park as their home.
