Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac Ticket
Located on the banks of the Seine, just a few metres from the Eiffel Tower, the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac houses one of the most important anthropological collections in Paris. The avant-garde building that houses the permanent exhibition, designed by the prestigious architect Jean Nouvel, also houses a garden with more than 150 botanical species.
With your ticket to the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac you can visit both the permanent collection and the temporary exhibitions. All these exhibitions are related to the art, culture, history, folklore and traditions of the great civilisations of Africa, America, Asia and Oceania.
In the rooms dedicated to the African continent, you'll see numerous archaeological pieces from countries such as Mali, Benin and Nigeria. Particularly noteworthy are the objects from the Congo, as well as the masks and funerary objects from countries such as Cameroon and Ethiopia.
Meanwhile, in the thematic areas of the Americas, you'll discover figures and sculptures from great pre-Columbian civilisations such as the Mayans and Aztecs. You'll also see tunics, footwear and other clothing from the native peoples of North America and other areas of the continent such as the Caribbean.
And don't miss the Asian rooms, where you can learn about the culture of India, China, Japan and other countries on the continent. It's also worth visiting the Oceania area, dedicated to the art and folklore of Australia, New Zealand and other island countries of Melanesia and Polynesia.
