Ticket to the Museum of Orsay

Welcome to the Museum of Orsay! With your ticket, you'll be able to visit the rooms of one of the most famous art galleries in Paris. This museum is located in the former building of the Orsay railway station, inaugurated in 1900 for the Universal Exhibition in Paris.

In its rooms, you can admire paintings from the 19th century, specifically from the period between 1848 and 1914. Did you know that the Museum of Orsay houses the largest collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works in the world? It's made up of no less than 5,000 paintings.

During your visit, you'll find masterpieces by artists such as Manet, Renoir, Degas, and Monet, as well as a large collection of sculptures, decorative arts, and architectural elements. You'll never stop learning!

Opening hours

The Museum of Orsay is open at the following times:

  • Tuesday to Sunday: from 9:30 am to 6 pm. Last admission at 5 pm.
  • Thursdays: open until 9.45 pm. Last admission at 9 pm.
  • December 31: open only until 3 pm.
     

Temporary Exhibitions

  • Until January 23, 2023: Edvard Munch at the Musée d'Orsay exhibition. The ticket grants access to the exhibition at no additional cost but within the limit of available spots.
  • March 14 to July 2: Pastels du musée d'Orsay exhibition.
  • March 28 to July 23: Manet / Degas exhibition.
  • April 18 to July 16: Claude Rutault. La porte de la peinture exhibition.
  • September 12 to January 7, 2024: Louis Janmot. Le Poème de l'âme exhibition.
  • October 3 to January 28, 2024: Van Gogh à Auvers-sur-Oise exhibition.


Your ticket grants you access to all exhibitions, but not with priority access, so you'll have to wait in line if you wish to visit the temporary showings.
