Sainte-Chapelle Skip the Line Ticket

430 reviews | 9,556 travellers
The activity itself very well, everything that has to do with Civitatis has been perfect, the entrance without problem and without queue but I imagined that it would be something bigger. It's just a small chapel, with high windows and packed with people so it's better to go in the early hours. You only see that, a large window in a chapel packed with people so you get a thousand heads in the photo.

When you walk through the doors of this temple, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time to the 13th century. Considered as one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the world, this building will enable you to relive the days of Louis VI of France. Did you know that he ordered this incredible church to be built to house his Passion of Relics? It even housed Christ's Crown of Thorns – one of the most important relics in medieval Christendom- which was then moved to the nearby Notre-Dame Cathedral.

You'll walk through the chapel and admire the combination of red and blue columns, and don't forget to look up to appreciate the beautiful ceiling that stands 20 metres overhead. Of course, the stained glass windows are one of the most famous features;  fifteen huge mid-13th-century windows fill the nave and apse, and a large rose window sits proudly in the western wall. This is a must-see in Paris, and you'll always spot something new every time you visit.
